Mixed Media Monday’s theme is “transparencies”.
I used an arch transparency as a window in my India altered book. It took a bit of fiddling to get the pages cut and the transparency sized and inserted. It’s fun turning the page to reveal the ladies in saris gazing at the Taj Mahal!

On the second page I clipped a travel ad (added to the top) that says: “A monument of love built by an inconsolable emperor, Shah Jehan, in memory of his wife Mumtaz, the Taj Mahal is perhaps best experienced in moonlight. Arguably the world’s most photographed monument, the Taj is one of India’s twenty-six World Heritage Sites. Do visit with a loved one.”

Patty, this is beautiful and you have done a great job with the layers
I was fortunate to see the Taj by harvest moon in 1981 (!!), something I will never forget………

Love it. The transparency is perfect. Is that oil pastels you used around the edge of the page?

What a gorgeous transparency Patty – perfect for that page… you clever clogs!! Don’t be alarmed, but I’ve had to decapitate the daisies twice in 2 weeks – they grow so darn fast!!
