I just knew when I saw this precious girl with the bow in her hair on my new digital collage sheet from Debrinna Pratt that she needed to go inside this little girls shoe.
I have wanted to alter a shoe for some time now. I did paint a pair of sandals for myself some years ago, I’ll have to post a picture of those another time. This little shoe (6″ long, 15cm) was white, with cut scalloped edges around the opening.
First I gessoed it and then decided to paint it pink and add black polka dots.
The amazing wings from The Graphics Fairy were the perfect touch, they popped up after I painted the shoe pink.
I am thinking I will come across just the right words to add to this piece or maybe a little something else. For now I am content. I thought it would look wonderful on the cover of my Garden/Nature altered book when it’s finished one day! I was too excited to wait that long to post it though.

the words “sweet thoughts” come into my mind when I look at your shoe.. what a lovely different creation. This would make a great present for a little girls christening etc or you could fill it with little trinkets for a birthday..thanks for the great comments on my blog

Oh my gosh Patty – I ADORE this shoe – I have been giving some thought to gathering up some baby shoes to use for pin cushions but I haven’t had the time – this has inspired me to get my hands of those little shoes and do what – copy your work girl – I want a winged shoe too – Wonderful art girl!!!

Patty, I’m wondering if I can borrow your creative mind for a while because this piece just blew me away. Now why didn’t I think of using an image in a little shoe? Why? Because I would never have created something this gorgeous. Bravo my friend!
