This month’s challenge over at Bluebird 1…2…3 is to alter a book and make it an art journal….there are no other rules, you can use any ideas you want to as long as you end up with a book that reflects you and your journey.
OK, I seem to Love playing with altered books and I know a lot of me goes into them. Having them reflect my journey…..hmmm, not sure I have revealed that much of me……yet.
Here is a spread from an encyclopedia I have been altering.
I squirted acrylic paint on the pages and scraped with a credit card letting some of the page text show through.
I liked the hazy image of the lady for this page.
I used copper colored angelina fibers around both main images; the shimmer is lost on the screen.
The Buddha is not really a hazy image, but lighting out on our back porch had other ideas today.
