Disintegration Collaboration Update

At last count there were 108 artists participating in Seth Apter’s Disintegration Collaboration.

My paper lantern finally melted after days of rain.  I had added a couple of pieces of duct tape in hopes of holding it together, but in the end it dropped into the bucket I had placed underneath it, just in case.

My lantern bundle is now part of my rusty basket bundle, so all is well.  It will be 1 May before we know it and time for the big reveal.

  1. You will get to see my disintegration project in person soon!!! It is not as ratty as I would have thought! My 3 blind mice, on the other hand – were carted away in the dead of night, after a few days. No doubt a late night snack for someone…..!

  2. it’s all part of the grand party! good idea to put a bucket underneath…mine is “bluing” everywhere, which is good because i thought it might not do anything!! good thing we finally got some rain!! …and a little more SNOW…ugh…

  3. i see you like rusted metal too!

  4. Bucket of bundle! Looks good and looks like the disintegration process is definitely taking place!

  5. How’s YOUR project coming along? Love what you incorporated into it! We were SO dry here awhile back I had to “water” mine! Put some yarns and rusty things in – hope they “run”. What a fun project…
