My friend Lennie and I made a date for tea at a sweet spot in a small town not too far away

no sooner did we get seated then the skies burst open…..more rain and lots of it came down for a good 45 minutes, another gully washer

Perfect Timing

…the phrase “perfect timing” comes to mind…we enjoyed the view from inside, cozy and dry

It is 9.30pm this cold and wintry night in my part of the world (Western Australia, southern hemisphere!) and I have been enjoying the warmth of your scrumptious afternoon tea which I am sure is going to lead to me do some snacking before I go to bed!! I enjoyed all of your photos recorded on your outing. Beautiful and so inviting.

Oh Patty You sure did our day justice!! Wasn’t it fun, and almost as much to relive it again this lovely sunny Tuesday morning!!! Thanks for the memories, dear friend. You have made my day!!

I almost forgot! Everything was there except the “origami shirt”, now that is quite another memory!

What a delightful tea party! I love the formality of tea sandwiches, a special tea service, and the whole bit! A lovely escape!

What a beautiful spot for tea, and the perfect place to wait out a storm! The skies were so blue in the top photo, it’s hard to believe that they could turn to gray, but that’s how the weather is!

The only thing better than tea, is tea on a rainy day. Or in your case, a rainy interlude! You caught the moment perfectly. I haven’t been to a truly wonderful tea room in years. Thanks for sharing yours!
