Creating my offering for Linda and Rosie’s Awfully Big Art Adventure “Dragonfly” challenge was not a walk in the park for me, at least not to begin with
My mind went in so many directions…..at one point a couple of weeks ago, I was sitting in a doctor’s office on the 12th floor waiting to be seen, when what did I see land on the narrow window ledge…..a square winged dragonfly. I got so excited…..note to self…YES, you should even bring your camera to the doctor’s office!

I have wanted to play with some old cardboard fans that I picked up at an antique shop some time ago……these sultry summer days seemed the perfect time to just …… do it!
I decorated the blank side of the fan…….the name Piggly-Wiggly for a grocery store on the front always makes me giggle.
K&Company Muscari paper made a nice background and I cut out extra blossoms to decorate with, some Brilliance inks for my sanded edges, graph paper, bits of torn paper doily, part of my favorite swan page from Jean, a lady from a catalog and a Jolee’s dragonfly sticker (it has glitter on it and shimmers) that I have had on hand for some time now…finally got to use one!

Patty- this is so feminine and pretty, just lovely, and perhaps you just needed to find the right path for the walk in the park. Christen

I’ve never seen fans like that. Some independent chemists give you personalised shop calendars at xmas in the UK. Do they still get handed out or is that all long gone now?
A lovely idea and collage Patty!
Happy Crafting

Oh Patti! What a wonderful idea. I am going to start searching for some of these at the antique stores and see if I can purchase some. I would like to do something with them in mind for Christmas. Wonderful post. Country Hugs, Sherry
