I have had pumpkins on the brain today … so here is my take on Sandy’s SaWo alter a cabinet card challenge for this week
to begin with
*before*
I randomly collaged bits of scrap paper around the image of the man on the cabinet card and then inked over the background
*after*
here is my wee bit strange altered cabinet card… I am happy with the background ![]()

I always enjoy it when an artist shows intermediate steps when making art. I kept looking at the first photo and wondered where the pumpkin was. When I scrolled down a bit, I got a big laugh. What was as funny as the pumpkin was the mask you drew on him.

Great fun both! I notice the first was done in Ridgeville, Indiana. I’ve lived in Indiana for 45 years and I’ve never heard of Ridgeville!! Glad to know I’m not the only one obsessed with pumpkin lately!! Both cards are nicely done!

I always love it when artists show their intermediate steps in making something. I sure wondered where the pumpkin came in when I saw the first photo. Boy, did I get a good laugh! And the mask you drew makes him even funnier.

The background is amazing, such a wonderful idea for a cabinet card! I love the branch across the bottom and the chalked eyes, what a great touch! I love the weirdness too! ;0

Patty, Peter is fabulous! Oh my goodness… his pumpkin head and black lips are perfect. Really cool background and love the way you’ve stamped over the photographer’s info but it’s still visible. Very cool altered card! LOVE it!!!

You nailed the colors/the hues/the added tidbits on this one so beautifully. So visually pleasing and captivating. Love his pumpkin head!
