Dragon Pearl Tea was one of the special teas that Kimmie tucked in with our tea cup exchange earlier this month. The name and look of them fascinated me … so I asked Google (since Google knows everything
) to learn more about this delicate and mysterious green tea
I just happened to have a special teapot and cups that belonged to my sweet mother in law … perfect for tea today
… here is a little blurb on the Dragon Pearls along with a link
“Information: Dragon Pearls are a green tea and are made from the top two leaves and the bud of new season growth (Late March /early April). These delicate leaves are then hand rolled into the small pearls. When you infuse these pearls in your tea cup, you will see the top two leaves and the bud come to life. In fact you will see some small ‘hairy down’ on the bud of the leaves – this denotes superb quality and very careful and delicate handling.”
delicate, delicious and delightful … thanks again Kimmie

Your vignettes are as interesting as the information you share about the teas you select each week. Marvelous information.

When I was in college, one of my professors repeated, “Presentation is all!” over and over. She was sooo right! Your presentation today is extraordinary and totally suits your special tea! Happy Tuesday, Patty! Hugs, Terri xoxo

From what I understand you can get more than one usage out of them …… I often do that with a favorite teabag too
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Happy T today!

Oh my goodness! I stopped by here for a quick little break, and got the eye candy I was looking for, and then…. I find out there are matchbox stuffers for all seasons and all reasons!
I just did some for Halloween. Okay, I did a lot for Halloween, and now I find out that a) I am not alone which b) which will further fuel my obsession and probably launch me straight into 2010. Hmmm… New Year’s matchboxes anyone?
Thank you, Patty, I think!

Patty you set the prettiest tea tables. Lovely tea set. Right down to the Mah-Jongg braclet. I can almost smell that tea.
