green …

inspired by the focus on Earth Day this week  (even though we try to make every day Earth Day at our house) I created two more pages in my art journal

Earth Day Every Day

beginning with a photograph we took on the Italian part of a Swiss trip we enjoyed a couple of years ago…

Earth Day Every Day (2)

mixing paints and recycling parts of a garden brochure from a favorite local garden

Earth Day Every Day (1)

pressed flowers from our garden were the finishing touches for my pages along with stamping on tissue paper using my favorite B Line Designs Iron works stamp…

Earth Day Every Day (5) A

I am joining in Dawn’s Journal Journey’s challenge theme of “Quotes” for this month…

Love the pic you took, and your lovely pressed flowers, beautiful stamping, love your words, green is the prime color of the world, I like that.. Thanks for sharing your inspiration you brighten our world. Hope you and the Mister have a wonderful weekend..

  27. another gorgeous spread which i totally love! wonderful green, great columns and fences, and the pansy heads are divine. they look like having a face, don´t they? and i´m sure your intention was to form a “person” with this vase (with stand with the arms on her hips) and the pansy as head. bravo!

  28. so, it´s before my morning coffee…
…(which stands with the arms on her hips..)

  29. Beautiful pages, the images seem to glow.

  30. Particularly lovely wotk Patty.

  31. Patty! I missed this somehow. Love all the elements and how you married them together on the page. I can see why you love that ironwork stamp. It’s just perfect!!

  32. your journal pages are stunning patty…such wonderful details!

  33. Brilliant combination of elements, stamps, colors and REAL flowers.
Do you save the flowers with some glue on the top or in any other way?

  34. I can’t believe where I must have been, because I’ve certainly missed out on a lot. I love your flowers. I bet that flower press works much better than my book I press mine in. Of course, I need a few flowers, too (grin). Maybe we could trade.

Seriously, I love that iron works stamp. It is awesome and the way you carried it across both pages is super. Also love the angel.
