The challenge over at Dans ma maison…… is un papillon (butterfly).
I made a specimen shelf (5 inches tall x 1 3/4 inches wide) from a little snap together (then glue) piece by Coffee Break Design that I picked up at Art & Soul vendor night. They had all sorts of interesting acrylic and wooden things.
I began by fashioning the dome piece, then lined the shelves with small print papers, added foam pop dots and mounted my ‘specimen’ butterflies.
It looked a little bare, eventho I fiddled for a while papering the shelves, cutting out butterflies and coloring the shelf, so I added the large set of wings and a gold flimmersterne as an accent. It’s been awhile since I’ve used a flimmersterne 🙂
