My first fabric altered book

Lesley Riley’s altered board book class was total inspiration. She created a space for creativity and shared freely. I felt so lucky to take one of her classes. I cannot believe I made this back in 2003!

We had amazing fabrics and printed quotes to choose from.

I did add the domino and finish my cover at home, but I created so many pages in the class, I amazed myself.

Stop and Wonder…..a delicate hankie made a perfect pocket.

Combining paper, fabric and fibers was just so much fun!

A little of this and some of that…. I do use fabric in projects, but I would like to do a mostly fabric book again.

I found this quote by Erma Bombeck which was a bit of a surprise, since she was mostly known for her humor.

“It takes a lot of courage to show your dreams to someone else.”

These pages are just a sampling, there are six spreads in all.
