Mixed Media Monday: The Eyes Have It

This weeks Mixed Media Monday challenge is “the human body, or parts thereof”.   I chose “Eyes” and got to play with the latest chunkie wood shape my husband (JJJ) cut for me (thank you Frank for letting us use your workshop oxo).

It is ATC size and 3/4″ thick.  I began by gluing on pattern tissue with gel medium (sticky business).  Distress Inks came in handy for layering color along with bits of different papers too.  Also my little brayer is a tool I could not live without.

You’ll be seeing more chunkies on my blog as my husband cut several different shapes and thicknesses…..must go and play 🙂
