Cherry Blossom Time

it is not every year that we make the trip into the city to see the splendor of the cherry blossoms doing their thing around the Tidal Basin and Jefferson Memorial

*photos are clickable for a closer view*

visitors from all over the world are drawn to our nation’s capital

despite the brilliant blue skies, it was really windy which made it a bit of a challenge to get clear photos of the moving branches (the wind was gusting to about 22 mph)….thank goodness for digital cameras….we just kept clicking away

  2. Great shots! The day I went to see them it was kind of gray – although still pretty.
Glad you went in to see them. It’s so easy to take it for granted and miss them – it was the first time in years I went and I’m glad I did.
