Hearts go out to Haiti

the news is truly unimaginable

sometimes things make no sense at all

so much suffering

the strong reach out to help the weak and fallen

lending a hand to the indomitable souls

may Healing … Love

and Light

bring Comfort and Hope

and Peace to all

I took these photos on a walk yesterday thinking how very fragile this life is

  2. A moving post and helps us to remember those who are in peril and have much much less than we do. It is comforting to know the prayers of the world are with them. They may not know it right now and may feel helpless but help is on the way as long as they can hold on. Thank you for reminding us of the fragility of life and how it can change in a few minutes.

  8. Your post is certainly moving. The lovely “hearts” you found along the way are the perfect way to show how fragile life is, how much we who are more fortunate can do, and how my heart reaches out to those who have suffered. Your photography (and art) are always so inspiring.

  11. Your photography and words are so inspiring Patty. Our hearts are broken here also for the people of Haiti. It doesn’t make sense that those who live in relative povery have to suffer this kind of tragedy too.

  12. This is a very touching post.

I have been watching various news reports from BBC, DW, to CNN and the three US network stations, realizing what we were looking at could also happen to us because we live right on a fault line here the Bay Area.

I fear what we have been seeing in the news is only going to get worst as people will turn against each other as shortages of water and food set in, along with further aftershocks, while mental depression becomes another issue.

Thank you for your beautiful photographs and words.

    Warmest regards,
    Egmont
