Dress Up – February

it is Dress Up time again at Margaret’s Alice and Camilla blog

my February dress is made of collaged bits of paper … white gesso … rubbed with red PanPastel … edges inked with Adirondack Red Pepper ink

peel and stick lace … a bit of zigzag stitching

feather trim … and a vintage red button attached with Heavy Gel Medium

I got excited and finished my dress for March before I started my February dress … March will be here before we know it

as the weeks go by you’ll want to check Margaret’s blog often as dress links keep arriving from all over the world

*Note – I will post my March dress next month ;)*

* * * * *

just had to share this precious tea towel that a sweet and talented quilting friend … Lina made for me … just because

it looks cute enough to wear …  it is designed to hang over the oven door handle … two pretty tea towels for the “skirt” … the “bodice” is double sided and lovely on both sides … Lina does impeccable work

Thank You so very much dear Lina!!! oxo

  1. the dress is uber cute (as my teenage daughter would say:) I’m always interested to see uses for alcohol ink. I use it on metal ad some plastic – what do like about using it on paper?

  4. Wow, I can’t believe I beat you in getting my dress link in before yours. I love the colors on this dress and the feather trim is gorgeous. I really want some of that stick on lace. Maybe you could let me know where you got it.

    Again, this was a super job. I’m envious that you have March’s finished. I haven’t even started mine. What’s so great is, the anticipation of seeing the next dress in the series is always fun.

  13. oh wow,,,über cute is right…what a darling peach colored dress you made. I could definitely see that little number in PINK,,,can´t you??? A “real” dress for some toddler would be gorgeous. This t-towel dress thingy,,,,at first I thought it was a REAL dress and I was wondering why you had it hanging in front of your STOVE….:) too cute.
    Someone could wear the darn thing. What people create nowadays is unbelieveable isn´t it.
