tic toc … time for another Wednesday Stamper challenge … this week it is all about polka dots …
I used a square polka dot block stamp along with a vintage 13 cent stamp … a gift from a good friend …
the “overdue” stamp is an oldie but a goodie …
I am really drawn to the old fashioned wooden handled rubber stamps … they certainly don’t make them like that anymore …
Nathalie has been selling them like hot cakes and may have one batch left at her Ruby Floy etsy shop … be sure and check out her Steampunk Rusty Clips and more while you visit …
my journal pages were inspired by the talented and spirited Marit in The Netherlands … one of my special art sisters … she is guest artist over at Yvonne’s Do More With Less blog … you won’t want to miss her collage building tutorial and a chance to play along in the challenge there …
I started out with scraped paint pages … layering various papers and magazine images … a couple of rubons …
black Sharpie pen …rubber stamps and Pan Pastels for shading and rosy cheeks … I used a doll as a book holder … her feet held the pages back nicely

Patty; love what you did with the challenge! Using the doll as a holder is brilliant! Beautiful! xxoo

And I’m so with you on those old wooden handled stamps…I grabbed some fun ones from Nathalie’s Etsy shop some time back. She does have great stuff and thanks to you I have some it in my stash now. A special little grin on my face too as “I Spy with my little eyes” your fun little stamp inclusion….you sweetie-pie, you! Xo, Sue

Aaaah my sista! You made an awesome page!!!! LOVE all the layers and the butterfly (moth?) on the mouth is fabulous… silence of the lambs and I liked the image back then. Why didn’t I think of it before – I want to use that too sometime. (canIcanIcanI? * hear a sweet little girls voice here*) And your stamps. Oh wow. your stamps in that holder. What can I say… WOWZAH! LOVE the doll as a displayer too (I had a quick mind check when I saw it, but I don’t think I have any dolls in the house. I was a “boyish girl” and I don’t have daughters, so no dolls around here. Stuffed animals maybe?
Thanks soooooo much for playing with my challenge! I’m honoured! (And I still have a “Patty-page” in mind. When things get less hectic with my writing job, I definitely start on that one! Patience my friend…. ) You have a marvelous day! I’m so glad we “met” on the internet! You’re special! Love you!

Everything about this screams FUN. I love the doll feet sticking out holding the book. Of course, the polka dots are adorable, too. Are those all your stamps? I love the overdue and transportation one. Although I loved everything about this two page spread, my eye was drawn to the “don’t try this at home.” How funny and how perfect!

Okay, so I didn’t know you had a totally awesome, rusted, rubber stamp holder! Where do you have ROOM for all of this stuff? I’m about sold out of those stamps– and looking for the “next” item to feaure in my shop.
Love the way the woman’s face pops from your page– looks 3D! Very fun spread!
