here are my art journal pages for Wednesday Stamper’s “heavenly creatures” theme…
they have many layers as I began by writing some feelings onto the pages…washing over them with gesso and paints…
a swan and some velvet leaves…
the image of the blindfolded lady was from a newspaper clipping…I added the word “spirit” and the clock face for a hallo…got to use some of my washi paper tape…some bling and feather butterfly wings…
a couple of rubber stamps helped add interest to my painted background..
click here if video does not work…
wanted to share this song which inspired the line…”we are but a moment’s sunlight…”
as an aside: I started these pages on All Soul’s Day…then they sat waiting for me to finish them…Belinda’s WS challenge was the spark I needed…
Happy December…WordPress has turned on the snow and I Love it as it is a very rainy day here in Virginia
*NOTE: 8 April 2011*: I joined in Ana’s Friday Archive Dive with this post for the PAPER theme…funny enough it is a rainy day today as well 🙂
Lovely spread!

Beautiful, miss Patty! Your woman intrigues me with the clock halo and her eyes blindfolded.
I have been creating, and for that, my sciatica has acted up. Guess I’m not used to sitting in a chair…what a bother!
Have a wonderful day,

I’m sobbing again. This is such a poignant piece, and the swan is so YOU. I even clicked on the music, although I had to cry when I did. I can’t believe that image on the right came from a newspaper clipping. You get better newspapers than we do, that’s for sure. Thanks for sharing this beautiful page.

Gorgeous pages Patty!!! Love how the elements just seem to mesh together perfectly. P.S. I made it to class but it took me almost an hour in a blizzard!!!! Which normally takes 15-20 min. Then driving home…well, sliding home:)….ahhhhh where is a BIG SUV when you need one:)

wonderful pages patty. i thought you might enjoy this week’s theme… though i had a feeling you’d have a whole lot to choose from and might have a hard time of it! 😉 i’ll have to repeat this one down the line… there are so many takes on paper, all of which you do so artistically.
i like those stamps, the curlycue but also the dotted one.. haven’t seen one like that before. and the clock as a halo? what a reminder, time is always ticking but our spirit carries on with a life of its own.
happy friday patty, so glad you joined in!
