my sweet Mutti left this world on Tuesday…
8 February…
she went to sleep and never woke up…
not easy to type these words…
even though her passing was sudden…
we are comforted that she did not suffer and that she died in her own comfortable surroundings…
tell someone you Love them…
you never know when it may be the last time they get to hear those words…oxoxo

I can only think that she did not have to linger on for months and months in pain like my aunt and then my dad. No one should have to go that way.

I never have words at times like this. I’m always amazed at the beautiful words of wisdom, comfort, hope, promises for a better tomorrow, and sincere sympathy that come from others. I cannot find those words. I know how close you were to your Mutti. I know there is not just pain in your heart, but an ache in your soul that won’t quickly go away or even subside. I know you miss her dearly. I know you have a whirlwind of activities right now that supersede anything else. I know I feel your sorrow. So sorry about your Mutti. I’ve been to ^&%*( w/my granny who is 98 1/2. She had pneumonia, but once again, tricked us allll. To the store AGAIN to return the black duds……I think your Mutti had a gooood plan…..the suffering is horrible. Quality of life-nil……and yet the ole ticker keeps on ticking……Thinking of you.<3 My mother LOVES that poem. She is 72 and stillll taking care of her mom!!! oy.

I´m late, but I´m thinking of you … we also call our mother Mutti (an expression that isn´t often used nowadays), and I just hope she´ll have some time left. Maybe it helps to know that going away without suffering for a long time is the best we can wish for.
