to each her own

here is my interpretation of the Wednesday Stamper challenge this week for “the world outside your window” theme…

I created a postcard using a book page…scrap paper…a magazine fan piece…paints…inks…white rubons … along with

a favorite lady

and a stamp I find lots of uses for from the Toybox rubber stamp company

  11. Patty,
Just lovely. That Toybox stamp is excellent! I am still amazed at how you do things. I wish I could get this layering thing down. Everything I make looks so flat!!! Maybe I better just start playing!

  18. What a beautiful piece Patty! I love it! I am “trying” to paint a view outside my window but the way it is going I´d need you to keep the theme on WS open about two more weeks:)
But it has spurred me to paint one of these views and take notice to what really is outside my very own window. So often we take it for granted and when you take time to sit and really look and SEE what is outside your very own window….well it is beautiful isn´t it in the literal sense….of course I have lots of imaginary windows I could have painted but I wanted a real view from these windows…..thanks for the prompt this week.

  20. I have no idea how I missed this, because I always LOVE it when you use a rubber stamp in what I consider an unconventional way. It looks like you allowed it to fade into the center of the card, too, What an adorable piece and so much to learn from your style and composition.

  21. I imagine she is married to an astronomer and as she is gazing out the window each night she is gazing into the starry expanse her true love is preoccupied with and she must wait patiently for dawn to arrive for her reunion with her own wandering star. (bad marks for a run on sentence there – but your piece really sparked my imagination!)
