Seth of The Altered Page is at it again …
ever the master of art collaborations he put out a call to post photos showing our stacked journals
the bigger the pile the better…
I must admit the pictures above show just some of my creations…
in talking to Mr Magpie about paper stacks…
he took a few paper photos too…
it seems piles of paper play a big role in our lives…
the other evening we rescued the paper bits below after having a bite to eat…
we found we only needed half of the heavy duty paper napkins provided and the paper doilies are always too good to pass up… a wonderful collage ingredient…
many thanks to Seth as always for joining the on line mixed media art community together…
I am looking forward to visiting all of the Paper Stack Project participants linked on Seth’s blog here
…95 participants and counting…
Just tremendous Patty. I am seriously loving your first three shots. Wow! And those rolls of white paper are calling my name too!

These stacks are AWESOME. You put my stack to shame. I never thought to pile some on a stool. Like you, I have tons more, but also like you, I could never get it all in one picture. I really, really love those stacks, especially the rolls of white paper and your paper napkins and doilies.

Oh, my gosh, Seth Apter, himself! And Patty Szymkowicz, herself! Patty that is amazing and represents a lot of beautiful work, I am sure! I am chuckling a little because of the amount of “matter” we must deal with. I just put mine into two tubs (no, not everything, just the stuff for my current project). (Tell me, why did i decide to do eighteen individual postcards?)
Cloudy and dreary here. Ah, summer, where have you gone?
Hugs,
Suz

Isn’t it amazing when you start to go around and collect your books and pages and put them all together. You realize how much you have created! I didn’t put all of mine in my stacks. I was running out of room and time for that matter. 🙂
Lovely body of work!

Hi Patty,
Thanks for your comment on my blog – I have to admit that I love love love your paper stacks, and have always been a fan of paper doilies!! I’m mostly a fabric fiend, although I do posess a smaller stack of neat papers for paper crafting too!! And not that they are in stacks, but buttons are another one of my weaknesses!
I’ll be back to see what you’ve got going on soon! L :-))
