tea cozy tea

hello and happy T day…

while we were at the Aylesbury Tea Room recently I treated myself to a sweet reversible tea cozy  made by the lovely and talented Jessica

it fits perfectly over the stainless steel tea pot I picked up in Ireland some years ago…

Jessica puts elastic in the bottom so you can just pop it over the tea pot and boy does it ever keep the tea piping hot …

my cup of decaf Irish Breakfast tea really hit the spot this chilly morning looking out at what’s left of a bit of snow we got late yesterday…

the lovely and talented Hermine is having a brilliant giveaway that you won’t want to miss …

her art is wonderful and we share a fondness for hearts…

for more T Tuesday stops be sure and visit Kimmie at her Art in Red Wagons…

  4. That looks like the perfect tea cozy. I’ve never owned a tea cozy. I’ve never owned a tea pot. Maybe I should try a bit harder!

Loved the heart and the cozy, but most of all, appreciated the scenic snow view, as well as the tea pot with lace curtain reflections. Have a super T Tuesday, dear.

your snow is so pretty – and just the right amount! have a beautiful day!

  10. THAT is the sweetest tea cozy I think I have ever seen! what a great idea to have the elastic on the bottom. Universal for most tea pots, that way. Your German jelly filled gingerbread heart makes my mouth water!

Lovely tea cozy. Interesting, I just got a pattern for one like it so mayhaps I should get out the machine and whip one up! Love yours!

It’s warm and sunny here, the perfect day to hike. I’ll stroll a few extra for you and perhaps capture some photos to share.

  15. Aylesbury Tea Room sounds like a lovely place for a spot of tea. Your cozy is pretty. I should try and crochet one. I’ll add that to my list of all the things I want to do. 🙂 Happy tea day. Tammy

  16. I really like your tea cozy – the colours are splendid together. I don’t own a tea cozy because we always seem to just make our tea in a big mug. Hmmmm – maybe I’ll have to change our ways and start using a pot so I can get a pretty cozy!

It’s been perfect for dog walking so I’m not complaining…i piled all my little tangerine on a butter pat today and thought of you and how you always have a little plate of something with your tea, it was quite enjoyable!! xo happy T day, dear Patty!

Oh dear Patty, your gorgeous tea cosy brought back some lovely memories… many years ago, I stitched and sold many of these at craft markets… they were always a wonderful seller… and just seeing your pic made me think of those lovely times… LOVE all your beautiful pics… and the heart biscuit is divine…

  20. Your tea cozy is ADORABLE! I don’t drink tea without one. I like my tea HOT, not tepid, as you already know. 🙂 Especially important in a chilly house (like mine). 🙂

Lovely lace reflection in your cup. Seth was watching over my shoulder and thought it was a paper doily floating in it (He was impressed by the optical illusion.)

You light dusting of snow looks magical with night lights.
