our local Mixed Media Collaborative group played with wool on Wednesday and what a fabulous time it was…
many thanks to the talented and generous Susan for sharing
her passion for creating and helping us to take wool, fibers, ribbons and more to great new heights…
..my first finished journal above thanks to Susan…
I can hardly wait to put the finishing touches on these pieces…
some will be journals and
some will turn into needle keepers…
it is such a great feeling to start something new and not want to stop…
a good reminder to go for it…

What fun you must have had. It sounds like the perfect day. I remember my friend kathy trying this. She bought one of those multi- felting needles, and proceeded to break it after the third punch. She said three needles broke at the same time, then she bought more needles just to finish the project. She had planned to loan me the needles and holder, but after I heard how hard it was for her, I decided to skip the technique. Sounds like you either used a machine, or had a fabulous teacher AND time.
Love what you made. I admire the technique a LOT. I’ve even considered just taking the thread out of my machine and trying to felt that way. But with no feed dogs, it could be a nightmare.
