thank you all very much for your good wishes…
we made it through a wet (7″/17.7 cm and counting) and windy night never losing power for which we are most grateful as not everyone has been so lucky…
the temperatures have dropped and some nearby mountain areas are getting snow instead of rain…
sending healing wishes to all those affected by the storms…
the sun is due back tomorrow here in Northern Virginia…
OXO
I AM SO HAPPY AND RELIEVED YOU AND YOURS ARE SAFE AND WEREN’T EFFECTED TERRIBLY BY SANDY.

MY HEART GOES OUT TO THOSE DEVASTATED BY THIS TERROBLE STORM.
I NEVER REMEMBER THESE HUURICANES COMING UP THE COAST LIKE THIS.

I am SO relieved. I thought about you all night long. I was up all night watching the devastation. Yesterday I told my friend Sally about how worried I was about you being in the path of this storm. It is awesome that you were able to make it safely through this mess. It was great to read that Marilyn is OK, too. It’s barely the second decade of this century and the weather people are already calling it the storm of the century. So glad I could share tea Tuesday with you today, my dear friend.

Patty,
I just read that you have been to my blog. Would you please leave a comment to Pat (who I read also has a sketchy computer, probably from the storm) that I’ve tried for several days to leave a comment and cannot. Also, could you let Jean know I can’t get her blog to load, even when I try to reach it from YOUR blog. I really want to keep Tea Tuesday going, and can’t do so if I can’t let people know I visited. Thanks in advance. I hate to ask, but have no other way I can think of to do this.

I know now first in my life how this is ..but this was a minimal storm against this Sandy!
I am sending all my prayers and wishes for all the people in the storm!

It’s a relief to know that you are OK. Tragic to see there have been some deaths, but I believe all my blogging friends have come through safely.

glad you didn’t loose power. that one is always a bit of a bummer. fun for a few minutes but then the tediousness of realizing HOW much we rely on it sets in and then you are doomed, lol. Your little teapot is so freaking cute!

So glad to hear all is well with you Patty. Lots of devastation across many states. But as with everything, people will bounce back, rebuild and life will go on. There’s always a rainbow after the storm. Best wishes and blessings, Tammy

What a relief that all is well with you, yes severe winds and lots of rain but as you say, considering what the outcome could have been, such a relief.
A beautiful setting for your tea, it definitely represents a ray of sunshine with those cheerful colours.

Patty, I’m so glad you are safe and sound. This storm took us from summer to winter without us passing through fall and we lost power for a little bit–not long. Thankfully I was out of the tub 😀 . We didn’t get much down here like it was up in the northeast. I am so thankful that more lives were not lost! Please take care and I hope the rest of your week is so much brighter and not just from the rays of sun 🙂 .

We in the UK are hearing lots about the weather you’re suffering all over the US. I hope you & Mr Magpie are well and keeping safe. I have been looking through your posts as I have missed some and I’m doing a bit of catch up ;0). The Journal pages are wonderful as always. But I really enjoyed looking through the photos of the last place you visited some wonderful scenery and your pretty good at bringing us with you through photos and your thoughts, so thank you for that little journey. I am sure you enjoyed your tea (power willing thankfully) So stay safe and I’ll pop back soon. Love Dawn xx
