  7. They are the sweetest birdies! And I see that you have some of those rusty wheely-thingies that I took a photo of recently! Some sort of tractor part?

  15. Patty, I didn’t know that bluebirds would overwinter that far north. I don’t see them in this area when it gets cold. He’s beautiful. You may have to provide him with an electric heater in his birdhouse.

  17. You are so fortunate! I have only seen a bluebird twice , and both times were in the last 5 years! Where I live, close to the city, we don;t have any. If I saw this more often I’d really be smiling! Just beautiful Patty!

  20. I forgot to mention about yesterday’s post that my Natl Geographic mags are from the late 60s. The one I used in the post was from ’67. Marilyn Rock first reminded me why I didn’t get the results I was going for. You and she were right. I should have saturated the entire book, Then Cheryl Dolby’s comment reminded me that NevrDull was probably what I was thinking of to alter postcards. DUH!!!

  36. Wonderful photos of such a dear creature. We don’t see these here in the west….but in 2011 I dressed as the bluebird of happiness for Halloween at school, and shared the stories, songs, and poems with my students.
