Virginia Spiderwort T. (Tradescantia) virginiana can be an invasive plant but it is one I enjoy having in the garden since it is a Virginia native (at one time we had it in pink and magenta too)…
I also let the pink Evening Primrose come up pretty much wherever it pleases as I like a bit of “wild” surprise in the garden and the pink blooms have a delicate fragrance…
I used a pretty gold scalloped piece of cardboard to build the mandala on…
the cardboard originally came under a most delicious Cherry Crostata…
I won’t tell you how many cardboards we have collected…

Another beautiful mandala. I love the color of the Virginia Spiderwort. I’ve been looking through my dried flower petals and thinking about a mandala with them. There’s nothing like the color of the freshly cut flowers, though.

Such an elegant design! I like the soft feathery touch of the grasses (I guess that’s what they are) in the background. OK, now my mouth is watering for some cherry crostata – is that from a local bakery or do you make it yourself? Yum, yum.

Very pretty! I’ve never seen a Virginia Spiderwort. It’s pretty and very interesting with it’s three petals and fuzzy center. The color is amazing! Have a wonderful Memorial Monday!

I collected some of that pink primrose along a country road one year. I love it, but it got so invasive, I thought it was going to take over my front yard. Now it’s gone. I really like it along with the spiderwort, which I have never seen before. Amazing what different wild flowers you have.
Well done on the mandala. In the end, it made me hungry (grin).

Hello Sweetie, the mandala is gorgeous as always, I remember when you used the leaves from the spiderwort, the flowers are amazing, I love the tuff inside the stemen, looks ethereal, it is a stunning blue with the primrose pink gorgeous, what a beautiful gold board for the background and who is counting, its not aloud ^-^, hope you have a wonderful day, big hugs to you my dear..
