and I agree, books and summertime do go together. We use to go to the library all the time in summer. It was cool and you could get lost in a million different places! What a memory. Have you read that book? “The Ocean at the End of the Lane”? if so, what do you think of it? I’ve only read “Neverwhere” by Neil Gaiman and fell in love with the place!

OH WOW. Did those roses come from your garden? Or did Mr. M give them to you? They are gorgeous. And I got a glimpse of your yard in the background of the first photo. You have so much ground and so many floral choices. No wonder the garden inspires you, especially if it’s for T.

Thank you all for your visit and really nice comments. I am using that old chipped teapot as a flower pot … the rose plant came in a little pot with dirt from Trader Joe’s.
I just started reading Neil Gaiman’s book as it was recommended by friends…didn’t even know it takes place in England = bonus!
it is another really lovely summer day here in Virginia with low humidity and the sound of a few summer cicadas in the background!

I do believe you have outdone yourselves with the quotes in this post as they are so fabulous. I really must note the ones about books as I have been a Bookworm all my life and do I like to know what others are reading, of course I do! I must hold my hands in the air and declare I’ve not come across this author.
I do believe all rose bushes should be housed in a teapot. This is so Alice In Wonderland in nature – how I love it!

We seem to have very few this year around here, which is so sad, and I had to get a bumblebee nest destroyed so that my roof could be completely redone. Hello Patty, how pretty this post is. Great pictures and lovely flowers. I agree with that quote, the library has always been my home away from home. For some reason though I’ve been to restless to sit and read long which never happens to me. Sorry I’m a little late but Happy Tuesday and I’m hoping to link up next Tuesday for my first time.
