my pages began by printing directly onto peeled board book pages using my homemade gelli plate (it worked well since the book opened nice and flat)…
feeling inspired by the Art Journal Journey (AJJ) “She-Art” challenge and a Project Runway Alexander Pope design my pages emerged…
I used a few rubber stamps for interest…
some super sized bumblebee wings seemed like a good addition too…
along with a few white rubons here and there…
it is fun to see my dinosaur book coming together…
Whoa! That’s amazing. I love the shape of the book, too. What a great find.

another HIGHLIGHT in the dinosaur book Patty… I think I love the most of your pages so much because of your colorchoice and your great compositions .. I am a BLUES and GREENS girl too ..
and I see here that I also love the same type of stampmotifs as you do.
And how this page is done at all is just amazing… did you made a real gelatine plate or did you take other stuff to made a DIY monoprintplate?
( I always use a glass-kitchen -cutting- plate and had some fun with a mousepad and an acetat- sheet too to make monoprints because the original Gelli plates are very expensive to order in Europe ( some shops offer them but very expensive in my mind) and the gelatine-powder is here also not as cheap as maybe in US .. so I also won’t make a real gelatineplate )
It is a STUNNING spread Patty … I love all about it!
Thank you so much – you set another highlight to this month theme!
have a good new week!

Your dinosaur journal pages are just so inspiring Patty.
I’ve tucked away the ‘gelli’ idea in a little corner of my brain to try one day!!!
The bumble bee wings are my favorite stamped element – beautiful! Sorry to ask but I would love to know who makes that stamp….
Wishing you a happiness filled week!!!
