not being one to make New Year’s resolutions per se I rather like the idea which seems to be growing in popularity to pick one word for the year…
I like words…
here are a few of mine from years gone by…
and this year I chose LIGHT…
I added the word LIGHT to one of my painted book background’s using Pixlr Express…
Merry and Light…
Light(ness) of being…
Light at the end of the tunnel…
Light load…
Light years…
Light and breezy…
let there be Light…
I could go on…
“Light gives of itself freely, filling all available space. It does not seek anything in return; it asks not whether you are friend or foe. It gives of itself and is not thereby diminished.” ~Michael Strassfeld
speaking of special Light …
once again I must thank my brilliant and generous blog friend Estivalia of “365 Drawings Project” for solving a problem that has vexed me for some months now…
without me changing anything WordPress no longer allowed photos to be clicked for a closer view and for the life of me I could not figure out what to do to get it working again…
Estivalia offered to help me out and in her concise and amazing fashion (with visuals no less!) she made it clear and easy as to what I could try to fix the problem AND it worked like a charm…
Thank you so very much dear Estivalia for coming to my rescue again and again…
You are amazing and are such a beautiful Light ♥
~* Peace … L♥ve and Light to all *~

Love the Strassfield quote. Light sounds perfect for the coming year. My word is FOCUS. Focus on the good, the detail, the stillness, the present.

A beautiful word, dear Patty,
Light, for me, means hope -everything seems easier when light is there, than in the middle of dark night… light of the new day ,means promises of wonderful hours to experience, and light in the face of a dear one and friend,-.looking at you, means you just recieved a gift of love.
Thank you Patty for your many light filled posts here, and notes to me, they are truly gifts I am thankful for. Hugs, Dorthe

I started choosing a word each year after I read yours a few years ago. I’m so glad I did, because that word helps guide me each year, as I’m sure yours will you this year. I would never have thought of Light, but I can see how it would fit you.
Happy New Year, dear friend. I love how you turn each word into art, too. This year’s is no different.

A thoughtful collection of words but I believe Light is special for so many reasons and from so many angles. I must ponder on a word myself.
I hope 2014 is a year that brings much light and lightness into your daily life.
New Year Wishes (sorry they are belated but illness struck me)

Your word is the same as my word! I never dreamed anyone would pick that word! I have folowed your blog for many years. I said similar things but not as eloquently spoken as you! You are the LIGHT at the end of the tunnel!
