MiFoC August {Week 4: Mood}

this week’s inspiration for the Mikrokosmos Photography Challenge is MoodMagpie's Nest Playful Creative Mood

I was in the mood to play…

Magpie's Nest iphone app painty hand

snapping the photo very carefully with my iphone because both hands were coated in paint and gesso and then using some phone apps (DistressFX, Diana, Gloomlogue) to alter my original photo …

Magpie's Nest Diana App

and a photo of my iphone showing the two photos in Diana app that created the photo in my collage above top right (how many times have I typed the word PHOTO *ggg*!)…

Magpie's Nest Gloomlogue app

and Gloomlogue another fun app … grateful for so many ways to play and be creative

  12. Super fun app!! Love paint covered fingers. I went to the post office one day and the postal worker behind the counter wished me well on getting my painting done. I gave him the strangest look wondering what kind of creeper he was then realized I still had paint on my hands. 😉

  13. And I thought MY hands were all painty today. Yours definitely win the prize. They are also a sign of a true painter and artist. Had to laugh at the # of times you used the word photo in a single sentence. I’ve done that before, too. And not caught it till after the post was published.

  14. totally funny playing, patty! i love These photos – so creative as well with Manual art as with digital! Posts like this tempt me to buy a Smartphone… but i actually don´t Need one…

    [and i have NO idea what the “comments-correction-function” should be good for. it writes (“corrects”) my text with upper case letters on foolish places, just by Chance it seems… i always type everything in lower letters, as this goes faster… makes me look like somebody who is not able to write correctly, arrgh!]

Thanks for all the lovely and heartwarming comments you left on my blog these last weeks – you are in my heart and I think of you often as I watch the clouds coming from over sea drifting past my balcony… wish we lived close, I would LOVE to play with you and both get dirty hands and take pics from it…. you are a big inspiration and a lovely friend. Enjoy your Sunday!

  19. Oh, great fotos!
    I love your interpretation of this theme – these are real artist-fingers!
    Yesterday I returned from a creativ weekend and it took a long while to clean my fingers and nails from colors and glue.

  21. I always imagined when you created that you would be so tidy and all would be pristine so I was lol when I saw this photograph and it made me feel soooo good because this resembles my hands when I have been using Gesso and paint – I can never seem to come away with clean hands and my fingernails tend to have stubborn pieces of paint lingering for days.
    Creative use of the apps, transforming messy hands into beautiful photographs. Such photographs would look so lovely framed and on display in a craft studio.
