each of us in our day to day lives have the power to make a difference to help protect our fragile world even though some days it may feel very small…
thinking about the plight of the honeybee all around the globe inspired two more art journal pages in my gesso journal for this month’s AJJ “living beings” challenge…
(gesso… star tissue paper… peeled map napkin… paint… computer generated words… bee and rubber stamp images)
“The soul of the soul of the universe is love.” -Rumi
Patty is so touching, the smallest creature for the whole world, just loved the contrast, it seems the honeycomb is really protecting the globe!

This is really beautiful, and the bees so need our protection and help. And I don’t know what will happen to mankind if the bees die out. Thanks fo another wonderful journal page! It’s time for bed here, so I wish you Gute Nacht and Süße Träume! Hugs, Valerie

Wonderful pages and oh how true that the bees are so vital to our existence here on earth. Without them, our food sources would be seriously depleted, if not gone altogether.

I was freaking out over that globe, even before I realized it was a napkin. This is beautiful and true on so many levels.
Bless the bees. Yes, if the bees die, we will all be in trouble, especially those of us who live in agricultural country.

Here I am, catching up I hope! I love this beautiful meditation. Every tiny part of our natural world is so precious and you have really captured that thought in these pages. What a wonderful inspiration the poet Rumi is too! Your art goes perfectly with his words. Julie Ann xxx

They may be small but they certainly are mighty.
I like the contrast of the blue and gold tones against that wonderful Gesso background. Do I spy some of the same floral napkin (?) as used on the post I just commented on?
