beach tea …

it feels like I have been away from blogland for a long time…

(the house above was on NC 32 near Edenton…not on the island we visited)

I am joining everyone over at Elizabeth and Bleubeard’s for T today sharing some of our beach getaway with you…

Ocracoke Village

our traveling tea cup came along and got to enjoy some sun and sand…

we had a bit of rain too which resulted in some wonderful puddle reflections in yards and on rustic roads in the village…Magpie's Nest Rainy Day Ocracoke

we visited Ocracoke Island around the same time last year and enjoyed it so much we booked a two week stay this year…

Magpie's Nest Lighthouse

from our rental on Silver Lake Harbor we had views of the lighthouse and enjoyed the boats and ferries coming and going from the Pamlico Sound

  3. Hello Patty, So nice to see you back and be taken on a little trip. I am going to go and examine your photos again more closely and follow the links as it is all so different from here.
It’s strange to say you miss someone you’ve never met, but yes, as Susi says, we’ve missed you!
Hope you and Mr. Magpie and the travelling teacup too had a wonderful holiday and hope you are also all glad to be back home.

  4. And aren`t we just so lucky, dear Patty , to have a cozy home, ending our journeys in.
Your photoes are so amazing, my friend, the ones after rain with the water “mirror” are so beautiful, it looks like there actually was water in the streets after, and how fantastic that the sand can be formed like that ,was it storming too ?
Your sunsets are all just stunning I love both yours and your husbonds photoes so much, the one with the text on is gorgeous.
I hope today you feel good at home again, dear , and send you warm hugs.

Loved the photos at the beach and the traveling tea cup made its rounds again this time to share memories of love. What lovely photos. I’m super, super impressed.

Glad you are back. I missed you, and so did Bleubeard. Thanks for sharing your time at the beach for T this Tuesday.
