joining the Art Journal Journey “collage” challenge with two pages in my gesso journal…
I managed to snap a few photos of some of the steps along the way…
it is fun to see the transformation…
and next best thing to a video I guess…
using assorted book pages and a tree punch along with lots of layers of paint and gesso…
I like how my snowy forest materialized…
my original inspiration was a favorite phrase that I saw on a greeting card years ago…
fa la laa trying to find my twinkle…
Gorgeous collage and love the quote. Just beautiful! Thanks for showing the progress shots, and for the great project for Art Journal Journey! Alles Liebe, Valerie

Too darn pretty by half. I love a holiday scene like this but we are not going to have a white Christmas this year. Have to watch White Christmas or Holiday Inn to get that old fashioned Christmas vibe. xox

May I ask what type of paper do you stamp on- with the shooting star? Looks nice-with just a hint of texture and doesn’t seem to curl when you adhere it-

Thank you so much dear Jackie. I was tickled that this one turned out like what I imagined in my head 🙂 I stamped on regular white tissue paper using glue stick on the page to adhere it and painting over it a bit to help it melt onto the book page further.
