Memory PaperArtsy stamps

some of my new PaperArtsy stamps came in handy stamped in black and colored with Acrylic Inks… the heart stamp is very close to moo size (1.1 x 2.8 inches/2,8 x 7 cm)…

memory final

I thought I was finished until I decided to delete the word “Just” using gesso and paint…

Patty Szymkowicz fading memory final pages

better without the word I think … this last photo appears a bit more blue than in real life but you get the idea of my finished pages

  9. That’s so beautiful… yes you made this perfect at the end.. sometimes it’s so difficult with the composition , specially the textpart.. I always struggle with that. I am so happy you have another piece for us at Moo Mania & More Patty!
So cold in your area?? Hope the sun will come and the temperatures will
get more springlike! We got sunshine since yesterday and it’s a little bit warmer… hope so that it will continue and the snow and ice will melt all away the next days! I want to have SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. You are using your PaperArtsy stamps so effectively, Patty and really incorporating them into your journal pages so that they take on the character of your art. I love the muslin in the background and I think that removing the word did make that page work even better. Your colour choices are always perfect in my opinion. I love the way you’re using moos at the moment. I have all kinds of nice bits and pieces left from projects and I keep thinking that I should make a moo or two; as I have not yet done so and yours look great! xxx

  12. I always enjoy first of all seeing the items you use in your artwork and then, of course, seeing the finished art. This is quite a mysterious piece, made even more so by taking out the word “Just”.
I like the patterned circles on the right.

Another beautiful spread in this journal, memory is elusive isn’t it, so it does fade sometimes. xox

  15. Patty I so love the muted colors, the flags and the dyed fabric! Not to mention the circles, they catch my eyes for a while! The golden pattern on the bottom looks like fabric too, amazing page!

  16. I’m not sure how I missed this one, but it is gorgeous. You did GOOD when you chose your prize from PaperArtsy. The entire spread is lovely. I often have trouble deciding what words, if any to use on a spread, but you seem to know exactly what to say and write. Well done.

Stay warm this weekend. Like you, we are supposed to get ice and snow later tonight (Sat). Wish Mr. M a happy belated birthday, please.

  18. You are so productive dear friend, what a beautiful spread, I love the cheesecloth you used here ,having its own life, and the gold effect is amazing around your stamp, and your words. The banner is the sweetest…love !! And yes Patty, I believe that a memory is never “just” so it was a good choice to cover it up!!
