playing in the snow T …

we finally got a nice amount of snowfall on top of a bit of snow we already had…

Let it snow Let it snow

perfect weather to sport my wonderful Swiss swan mittens that a sweet friend surprised me with (they are connected with a string)…swan mittens from Margaret

Mr Magpie got to take his electric power shovel out for a whirl…

Mr Magpie and the electric shovel

I am content most days to enjoy the snow from the indoors…

snow outside our window

Mr Magpie made me a little snowman to decorate on the back porch so I got busy adding some Maple tree seeds for hair… Lunaria seeds for eyes… a sunflower seed for the nose… a bit of Thyme for her smile and Fennel sprigs for her arms…

snow sprite

she measured about ten inches tall including her hair (25,4 cm)…

and began to look a bit like Edvard Munch’s THE SCREAM as it warmed up outside which is a gentle reminder that nothing lasts forever

last night there were two rabbits frolicking under our blue bottle tree in the back garden

here’s wishing you a very happy T day along with everyone over at Elizabeth’s Altered Book Lover

  2. I like how you adorned the snowman Mr. Magpie made you and chuckled how it morphed into “the scream”! How sweet to see the bunny enjoying your blue bottle tree.

  3. I agreed that the cute snowman Mr. M made for you looked very much like “the Scream” once the sun came out. Too cute. And of course, it was fun seeing Mr. M using his power shovel. I’ve seen snow blowers, but never any like that!

LOVED the mittens. They are SO you. Someone knows exactly how to please you.

Thanks for sharing this with us for T this Tuesday. Of course, I am still jealous of all those cobalt bottles the bunny had so much fun playing around.

  10. The snowman, both versions, is delightful. I was especially taken with the mittens. Mittens are on my list of things to learn to knit. Of course my beginner mittens won’t be anything as beautiful as yours with swans.

  13. We’ve finally gotten snow here too. Up until Feb it was an extremely mild winter here, I love the little snowman and I think I need to find a power shovel. Actually I’d like a big tractor with a plow on it… I could build snow mountains to play on 🙂

  29. Hello Patty! Looks like you’ve been up to beautiful creating as always as I’ve been remiss in visiting blogs…sheesh…the days go by! The little snow man is cute. You’ve probably had more snow since I bet. Most of our snow is gone now but we’ve had very little, very little compared to all you folks out East.
