it is a new month already and our Lily of the Valley bloomed in time to help celebrate May Day…
it is time to join Elizabeth for her second look at a past blog post… my birds were originally posted in May 2008… interesting to note that we are no longer meeting at that store as they didn’t have room for us anymore but our mixed media art group is still going strong all these years later…

Your lilies of the valley are gorgeous. Mine didn’t bloom this year, so I think they need to be replanted or thinned.
Of course, I am in AWE of your birds. I’ve been working on a few birds of my own, but they are nowhere nearly as beautiful and inventive as yours. You make assemblage art look easy, although we both know it isn’t.
Thanks for sharing these STUNNING birds with us as your Second look on the 2nd.

Lily of the Valley is a synonym of Happiness… It’s a tradition in France to give these flowers on May 1st to your loved ones… Isn’t it romantic?

Lily of the Valley is definitely not a flower we get to grow here, so I really enjoyed seeing your beautiful picture. Such a sweet, delicate flower! And your birds are just awesomely amazing! Love them! My favorites are the tap shoe plate birds, but they are all wonderful!
