in going thru some of my paper stash(es) lately I have come across some perfect bits for a couple more pages in one of my gesso journals (I am recycling lots of paper in the process too!)…
torn bits of tide chart and map from one of our favorite stateside beach getaways…
the lovely Venida is from the cover of a vintage hair net package that I picked up one year on a trip to Florida…
joining in with Art Journal Journey’s “The Sea” challenge again before it is time for a new theme for June…
I do enjoy the sea especially when I can find a bit of shade…
Another beautiful and original page Patty. Thanks so much for all your wonderful contributions to Art Journal Journey, Alles Liebe, Valerie

You know that I always like to see the way you combine your papers and art materials, and how interesting to see a hair-net advert, I had forgotten about hair nets (not that I every used one), I wonder if you can even get them now. Venida looks like a mermaid among the sea-imagery, and I’ve just noticed your blogpost title, haha! very good.
I’m in love with your last photo-edited photo with these amazing colours, the composition, yourself (I think), the parasol and the words, all combining to give a great artwork.

I remember when you used the hairnet cover in the past and was intrigued then, too. This latest entry is so charming. I’m jealous of those tidal charts. I have never seen the tide come in on the east coast, only the west. But since I’m land locked, I’ll simply appreciate your journeys and enjoy the sea with you.

Such a wonderful way to incorporate your place of holiday-love. Great idea with the map, and the ferry departures, or maybe buss? Beautifully kept in the ocean colours you love ( me too) and Venida would count for a most beautiful mermaid, my dear Patty .
Hugs and smiles,
