the garden is so full of promise and has grown alot after a recent heat wave which was followed by five days of lovely gentle rain…
after that we had some nice sunny and breezy days perfect for opening the windows and airing out…
another big warm up is bearing down on us and soon it will be time to start cutting the Lavender…
I put some finishing touches on another page for my tea cup journal using a piece of scrap paper for the background…

Your collage of photos at the top is so lovely. I love the wee birds on the fence and the shadow picture. Is that you I wonder / And the large bush of Lavender makes breathe deep and slow in order to enjoy it’s fragrance. I love lavender. Happy T Day 😀

Gorgeous photos, especially your shadow. Clever girl. Your garden is looking lovely. This is my second year on lavender I actually didn’t kill for once. I brought mine in the house last winter and it has already bloomed in the heat and humidity interspersed with downpours (not gentle ones, either).
That teacup journal is turning out to be a real gem. As usual, I like this latest entry. It is beautiful and to think you used scrap paper to do it!

Real nourishment for the soul again, Patty. Lavender is so beautiful. I’ve always wanted to grow it and never had any success. One of the loveliest cakes I ever tasted was in the little gallery cafe in one of my favourite galleries in London. It was an orange and lavender cake – delicious with lemon and ginger tea! I love your tea cup journal and all the beautiful rain drop images. We need some rain here, as it has been very windy and dry: climate change, I fear! Yesterday, though, I sat and watched the bees on the thyme for a while and that was wonderful. xxx

such gorgeous photos Patty! My lavender is a much lighter color and just beginning to bloom. I love running my hand over a stem to capture the scent. I’m admiring your beautiful teacup book very much. Hope the storms that rolled through last night didn’t do any harm. We got lucky despite the severity of the threat. More rain today but it won’t be so bad-we do need it don’t we? Happy T day to you and yours!

Soothing rain would be so nice, and after yesterday’s 107′ (F) there is a 20% chance of rain today……but it has cooled way down…..so it might happen.

Your mosaics are always so charming, and each individual photograph is so beautifully detailed.
I like your shadow on the first and the birds on the gate, and the lovely green leaf with magenta stem and water droplets on the second (I wonder what this plant is?). I also feel I should recognise the middle plant in the first photo – is it borage by any chance?

Thank you for your visit and nice comments! Sheila the plant with raindrops is technically a weed that I let romp for a bit in our front garden bed. It is a type of milkweed and I thought it would be good for the butterflies until I found out that was another variety. The hairy center flower photo is indeed Borage. I so enjoy when it reseeds itself…the gorgeous blue blooms are tasty too. 🙂
