two more art journal pages created in a small 1931 dictionary that I started playing with back in 2008 (I know that seems so long ago…soon it will be full)…this spread fits the AJJ “Masculine – Feminine” and Mix it Monthly “the Facial Profile“ challenges…
I played with a newspaper image of the couple adding gesso and paint
creating a new painted shirt with forget-me-not torn tissue bits…
Wonderful journal spread, dear Patty, music and lavender go so well together! Thanks for joining us at Art Journal Journey, Alles Liebe, Valerie

Gorgeous pages. I love the 2 partial faces. I am still amazed how partial images sometimes say so much more than full images. Have a great weekend.

Looking back on the pages you created in the past is always fun. I know I do that in my 7 continents AB. Of course, I’ve never created anything as lovely as what you make. I’m always, ALWAYS impressed when I peruse your ABs.

THERE you are!!! I was thinking you hadn’t posted for awhile and suddenly, lo! – you appeared in my reader. I see that I’ve missed a lot, so, rather than inundating you with comments, I’ll just jump in here. I love the quote in the last picture.

Such beautiful blues. This spread is truly lovely, Patty. How exciting to have been creating journal pages since 2008 in this little book. I wish I could flip through the pages and share all the beautiful entries. It must be such a pleasure to go back through it. xxx

So very much filled with romance, and beauty- the couple so close, that they surely hear the music and sing together, and the other page so very beautiful, too, with the Forget me not`s used there, too. I -like Julie- would love to flip through it , dear Patty !

It makes me smile, seeing your fat, chunky dictionary filled with creative goodness. (That was almost a typo — godness. But I suppose they both have some application!)

Using a newspaper image in that fashion is brilliant. I’d have never guessed if you hadn’t said. I too have some really old journals that I’m still plugging away at from time to time. I’m glad I started dating my pages now since I’m working in such a random way. 🙂 Wish I had from the beginning.

Great idea to use a newspaper image and paint it, including giving the girl a new patterned blouse. The left side is lovely all by itself and the strip of musical yellow at the top gives the whole picture an unusual look.
