TIME is the August challenge theme over at Art Journal Journey…
a beautiful leaf that I found on a walk and painted inspired me to create these pages in my red rosin monoprint art journal (I used soft gel medium to adhere the leaf to my page)…
I have lots of favorite quotes about time and this one from Goethe seemed to fit nicely with the image of the blessed mother that I happened upon in my stash…
I like the idea of being in the present moment and enjoying it to the fullest…may your time be filled with many happy moments ~♥~

Golly Patty. What a lovely spread. It is so calming and beautiful. That leaf is gorgeous.
When I find leaves too fragile to press, I usually coat them with gel medium on both sides before adding them to any spread. I like how you painted yours, which of course, took the place of the gel medium. This is a beauty.

I love what you have done with your leaf..such a spiritual page and the onus of living in the present moment and slowing down which is what I try to do but its not easy sometimes with a busy family

Oh Patty dear, what stunning pages from you again.
The leafe is stunning in it`s golden dress, and is such a piece of beauty, from natures hand, now even more beautiful on your blue page, and with the lovely madonna on the other page . Also wonderful is your old book pages on both sides, with the altering with brownish gold, and the layers you have created. Stunning is the word, my friend !!!!

I am transfixed by the gentle peaceful air that exudes from this particular artwork. Beautiful blend of colours which add to the peaceful air and the leaf is sublime. Such a beautiful post.

Lovely pages with the maple leaf and the wonderful madonna. I like how you have composed it. I also like maple trees, we have four japanese maple trees in our garden. The maple leaves are very decorative and in autumn very colorful, nice to use them for autumn decoration.
