there were days when it seemed like hot summer weather might go on forever…
and then just like that cooler air moved in…
the sun tracks lower in the sky and glows warmly in our windows…
there have still been some lovely days for sitting out on our back porch…
giving me the chance to empty saved tea bags while collecting the pretty papers…
our houseplants are inside now safe from the frost with a top dressing of dried tea leaves…
I made some time to play with some of those tea bag papers joining in Conny’s Mix it Monthly challenge of CUPS/BOWLS…
I would also like to join everyone over at Elizabeth’s Altered Book Lover for T Stands for Tuesday…
thank you very much for your visit…I hope you are enjoying the season you are in
aaah, the tea bag papers… will be another post soon at my blog, as we played on our retreat with them, too. i love your creations and the autumn Mandala is just marvellous – “hearts” included!

there is always so much beauty in your photos Patty. As you know we experienced the same weather pattern so it’s time to accept the changing season as you so eloquently say in your mandala. Gorgeous journal pages too! Happy T day!

I’ve always thrown my tea leaves in my compost pile, but now I know to top dress my herbs with them. You have some beautiful plants, much lovelier than mine, which are all now quite scraggly. We had a chance for frost early yesterday morning, but my shoulder simply wouldn’t allow me to bring the plants in. I’ll have to struggle with them later in the week, I guess.
As always your photos are stunning, and of course, I adore the tea bags and must start drinking tea again. Your mandala is amazing. I don’t have enough in my yard to make one, but I really should put on my thinking cap in case I run across anything that might actually work. I love yours.
Thanks for sharing your Pinkies Up art, your beautiful photos, your tip on using spent tea on your plants, and your mandala with us for T this Tuesday.

I’m trying to understand what you do with teabags… so you open them up to use the leaves as a mulch for the plants and then use the paper in your art? That sounds like a very good idea!
Thanks for that beautiful slideshow of photos. It made my day. It puts beauty in autumn. I love it.
Thanks for visiting earlier.
Have a fab Tuesday and a very good week too,

Thank you very much Lisca. Yes there is a lot you can do with the tea bag papers. I shared a bit about it here on a blog post a few years ago: https://bitze.wordpress.com/2012/07/17/the-life-of-a-teabag/

I like the light at this time of year. There is a lot you can do with those tea bag papers isn’t there? I always save mine too although we usually use loose leaf tea so my tea paper collection isn’t huge.

Such a beautiful post with so much to see! I love the photos that capture the idea of the shifting seasons so well; the journal pages and that beautiful mandala with the great sentiment. I love your mandalas so much. When I first started to visit you about 2 years ago, they were what really captivated me first of all. My dear friend Sue has a sweet daughter called Dominque who collects the loveliest tea-bag papers for me and I love to use them in all kinds of projects too. xx
