two more pages in one of my gesso journals inspired by the Artchix girl…
paper punched trees with layers of gesso and pencil and the winter moon…
joining with Art Journal Journey’s Winter Wonderland…
“Spring passes and one remembers one’s innocence.
Summer passes and one remembers one’s exuberance.
Autumn passes and one remembers one’s reverence.
Winter passes and one remembers one’s perseverance.” -Yoko Ono
Beautiful Patty and I love the quote! xoxo

You are tantalising us with the half open journal again, oh to have a peek inside!
Your art here is so restful, with the lovely quiet of the snow. The white forest looks very calm.
Your girl looks so happy hidden within her music, and her very interesting quote.

OH, Patty. I want a tree punch. Think of the possibilities. Well, I guess you already have! Is it old, or is is something I can still buy in a store?
Of course, I adore this spread, and I love how you shared two of your gesso altered books. The lacy edge with the buttons made me smile, too. What a fantastic entry.

That’s perfect for Winter Wonderland. She’s magical — and I love the phrase. Don’t you think a lot of us are like that? Just a little bit hidden?

What a beautiful meditation. Your journals are always so inspiring. I love the images and the texture of this: it really does capture that magical and enigmatic something about the winter season. I always like how you incorporate scraps of textiles and details like buttons too. I couldn’t believe it when I saw that the quote was from Yoko Ono. But she’s always astonishing! Maybe it’s the way the Media have presented her, but I am always surprised at the wisdom and poetry of her words. Maybe – like your girl – and most of us – there is a part of her she keeps hidden! Thank you for another really beautiful and thought-provoking post. xxx
