this time of the winter I crave fresh flowers and treated myself to a bunch of tulips and ranunculus which were not my first choice in color but I had to work with what the market had available…
I give them a drink of water each day and they are lasting a long while… it is fun to see the tulips “growing” in the vase too…
another treat is a steaming hot cup of Yogi tea which makes an excellent hand warmer…
I do not add anything and leave the tea bag in while I drink it (pressed up against the side of the cup I give it a final squeeze at the end to get out the last yummy drops)… “richly luscious and soothing” just as the box says…
I find it especially nice after dinner since it is caffeine free and tastes a bit like dessert…
here’s wishing you a Happy T Day along with every one over at Elizabeth’s T Stands for Tuesday…

I do like the idea of tea tasting like dessert 🙂

I also like to pick up a few tulips this time of year in hopes that some of the ones in my yard will bloom soon. Yours are really lovely.
Caffeine free would last about two cups for me, but it sounds like this tea makes a great replacement for dessert. Guess that’s one way to cut down on calories!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos, your cup, and your lovely tea with us for T this Tuesday. I love those Yogi tags that have inspirational sayings on them.

I forgot to mention that I told Krisha in a post from yesterday about art I thought you had made from mushrooms you found in your yard or forest. I couldn’t find the post on your blog, so if I was way off base, I apologize, but if not, maybe you could point her in the right direction.

Well you got me curious Elizabeth so I typed “Mushrooms” in the “Looking for something: Search” blank just below the T Stands for Tuesday logo on my sidebar and found this post. https://bitze.wordpress.com/2009/11/21/pink-saturday-and-how-one-thing-leads-to-another/ which I had pretty much forgotten about 🙂 I use my blog alot as a memory jogger and a place to retrieve links and dates and more.

Looks like your place is blooming everywhere from the fresh flowers, to the tea mug, to the delightful plate of daisies! What a lovely way to bring color and happy on a cold winter’s day. A dessert tea-I never thought of it that way but you’re right 🙂 Love the Yeats quote. A happy, sunny and warm T day to you!

Oh Wow Patti. Your flowers are absolutely scrummy. I love Ranuculas but don’t see them readily available here. I think I would have chosen those colours for me.
And your tea…I can almost taste it from here. I too like Yogi teas, especially their liquorice ones.
Thanks for calling by.

Those flowers are gorgeous! I love tulips (being Dutch of course) but ranunculus are also my favorites. I try to grow them from bulbs sometimes with various results.
I also drink my tea with the bag squeezed to the side! Haha.
Thank you for visiting earlier. Sorry for the late comment, I’ve been out all day.
Happy T-day,
Lisca

Lovely flowers — we have them blooming (flowers) all year long here. So what do I miss – snow!
Will have to give your tea a try – I like good old fashioned English breakfast tea.

Flowers are so uplifting this time of year when the world outside is rather drab. I also have so many beaded flowers I made around, well, lets just say there is always color here.
I’ll have to look for that tea as vanilla is a favorite of mine. It is really hard to find vanilla anything that does not taste artificial.
Thank you for your email and the link which I will look at tomorrow.

I love bringing home cut flowers in the winter too. I usually try to force a couple of bulbs for live flowers but forgot to do that this year. 😦 I’ll have to look for that tea and give it a try. ♥

Your flowers are absolutely beautiful. I was eyeing some daffodils in the store on the weekend but would have to wade through a bunch of allergy-inducing hyacinths in order to get some. I love hyacinths, but they don’t love me!
