another spread in an altered book for the Art Journal Journey February challenge “If Music Be the Food of Love“ …
torn pieces of a vintage 1911 invoice (I used the original instead of a copy like I might have done in the past) … German book text… and a digital collage on the right of L♥ve stitcheries and assorted buttons…
the birds are from my photograph made into a TAP transfer and ironed onto book text…
Hazel’s challenge for AJJ this month is an inspiring one…
Beautiful journal pages again, love the mix of old ephemera – I love to use ‘real’ ones, too, they have a special feel. Thanks for another heArtful spread for Art Journal Journey, Alles Liebe Patty, Valerie

Love it Patty and I especially love your quote and I even printed it out — I should put it on on every post. When I started in this, there were so many styles that I did not like or really were not me. As I continued on, I found more and more people that reflected my heart’s desire. I am more comfortable now being more ME and that for me is a miracle from God!!
By the way Sugar, you are a big part of that!!
Love everything you do!!!!!

You have incorporated SO many wonderful techniques in this spread, it’s hard to pick one to focus on. Just like your vignettes, it takes several looks before you take it all in.
I was glad to see you used the real invoice, because I often wonder why people wait and save something, only to keep it and never use it in the end.
Had to laugh at your comment on my Golden fluid acrylics. I use them for art I’m sending to others, or for techniques where craft acrylics don’t seem adequate. But I can’t justify using them for my art that merely meets a challenge.

Love these pages. And I’m so proud of you for using the original!!! The original is proud to be in your art….. it might end up in a trash pile one day if it remained “saved”. Now it’s in a piece of art!

This is stunning Patty! I love that you have stamped onto text but best of all – using original papers! I have decided to use some of my original ephemera – much better use it now and enjoy it than shuffle through a box and wish that I had! Hugs, Chrisx
