part of what has had me distracted from blogging lately is Misty Mawn’s fabulous Make/Do Art Workshop…
since there is a “tea” reference in one of my 5×5 collage pieces I thought I would share it here for T Stands for Tuesday…
“collage with a theme” was a recent assignment where we were to create multiple (think 25!) 5×5 inch collages finished with unifying color…
I managed to create 16 and I am not quite sure what my theme was exactly…
although nature and nurture seem to come up a lot for me…
I selected various black and white clip art images adding them to my painted backgrounds adding yellow ochre highlights…
as I have mentioned before Misty is a really wonderful teacher and an inspiring artist who shares SO much in her classes (no affiliation just a grateful repeat student)…
I adore your collaged pieces!
I think spring had finally decided to send the bulbs to bloom for many.
Love the poem!
Happy T-day

You must like to draw and paint. I am truly impressed with your drawings and paintings. I would never be able to do that. I like the color coordination, so that might also be a theme. And of course, the teapot is so well done. But when I look at it, I see all things I associate with you, like swans, teapots, lotus blossoms, etc. You did a marvelous job with this assignment.
Thanks for sharing both your gorgeous art and your lovely vignettes with us for T this Tuesday.

What a great collection of your work. I think it is very interesting to see the colors and connections in one piece and the next. Not sure I could sustain a theme through 16 pieces.

Hello Patty!
Your images are each individual so nice, but all together they are an amazing blue artwork. I love it so much. Your bloomy home decoration look as nice too. Softly spring is coming and bring us the first nice flowers to the wild and to the gardens. I also like the wonderful Poem from Mr. Wordsworth. The daffodils we call Narzissen or Osterglocken.
Dearest Greetings

Oh sweet Patty – your designs always capture my heart. You have your very own style (which I cannot seem to find mine) and you set the perfect stage. Your collage is extraordinary ! It’s something in your heart that makes your art so very special. I wish you would tell me more about this workshop – it looks way to sophisticated for me. But I want to learn so much. Patty I just love following you!!

I think your whole theme today is blue skies between your piece and the beautiful spring set up you have with those daffodils. Happy T Day! Hugs-Erika

This makes me want to run over and join Misty’s class, although these are totally your own and are beyond anything. Each one is perfection. I think it is amusing that you say you are not sure what your theme is.
So even although each one is perfect I am going to say my three favourites are the window, the bird and the teapot.
I love these subtle colours too, the blues and beiges.
I’ll bet you had terrific fun with this, it’s right up your street.

Sorry I’m so late commenting, Patty! I’ve been on a course too! I love this post. Nature and Nurture is a great theme to have and sometimes themes just grow out of the heart of us, which I think yours has. I adore the wonderful blues and the beautiful images. Your cover is fabulous too! Once again I feel that I want to reach into my screen and touch what you have created, it’s so beautifully tactile. xx

Your collage of beautiful collages, looks so very wonderful, dear Patty.
Your love for nature, animals ,flowers, tea, birds, and the amazing sun, we couldn`t live without, shows through every piece,- and I so love your subtle colors, used, and the calmness coming from them being repeated in every little collage piece.
And Patty I love your photos from home, the spring is really there, and also here is your nature love ,all over, with flowers, and nest.
Here my sun also shines beautifully, and warm today, giving hopes of spring really arriving soon.
Sending you a big hug.
