our tour of France was oh so delightful from beginning to end…
Paris was every bit as magical as I remembered…
it was exciting to have the chance to make new memories…
we began our trip with a special meetup with Chris and her husband across town at the Montparnasse Tower…
it was so nice of them to take time out from their visit to Paris from the UK to treat us to coffee and treats at the Le Ciel de Paris restaurant (The Sky of Paris) on the 56th floor (Chris ordered in French!)…
ooh la laa it was a perfectly wonderful spot and Chris and Tony were great at pointing out the sights and getting us oriented…
our husband’s were very good sports letting us chatter away…
I was so excited I didn’t take any photos…
the views of Paris were spectacular…
it was definitely a “pinch me” moment to be in Paris AND to meet a blog friend that felt like an old friend as we have so much in common…
Chris surprised me with a lovely momento holder that she made (front and back above)…
it was the perfect size for carrying along and keeping all of those tickets and special bits I wanted to save…
thank you so much Chris for making our meeting happen and for your kind and generous ways along with your sweet anniversary wishes…
wishing everyone over at Elizabeth’s Altered Book Lover a Happy T Day as I unpack and go through photos settling back into “real” life here in Virginia…
Looks like you had a wonderful and memorable holiday – ah, how the other half live! Good to see you back in Blogland again. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

Hello, and welcome home dear Patty.
I`m so happy on your behalf, that your tour was every bit of what you had dreamed and wished for. And I`m thankful for all the most beautiful photos you shares on FB and now here. These, for me, new ones, really shows the splendor of Paris , the grand city the beautiful marks from long ago, and the very hectic and huge city.
How lovely to meet up with a blogging friend of yours, and to have time chatting and enjoying a special meeting. The gifts are so wonderful.
And Patty I love you with your braids, you look so sweet.
Love to see your teacup greeting The Tour Eiffel .

Welcome home, although I’m sure it was hard to leave! What a view! Thank goodness for Mr. Magpie and the camera! But you look so happy! I love Chris’ memento — and I see you have a Galleries Lafayette map! They were one of my favorites! Very easy to follow! I am looking forward to many more posts from France — and all the wonderful art you will be inspired to create from this trip!

Oh Patty! What wonderful time that was! I’m pleased to see that Jim had some decent photos of us – Tony had taken two – one where I looked drunk and another where you looked as though I had sent you to sleep!!! I am so pleased we managed to meet up and of course we both knew we would get on!! Your fabulous hanging has pride of place in my craft room and as yet I have not used my journal! I’m looking forward to seeing more of your photos as FB is a no! no! for me! Hugs, Chrisx

Welcome home Patty. I apologize for being late, but I have been fighting round after round after round of steady hail, torrential rains that have turned into flooding streets, high winds, and the continuing threat of tornadoes. I finally stuck my head up long enough to check my blog and feel bad I wasn’t here sooner, but I’ve been trying to keep Bleubeard calm because he gets very upset during bad weather.
I want to begin by thanking you for the postcard which arrived this afternoon. It is adorable, and made Paris even more special to me.
Your photos are incredible. You and Chris look like you have been friends forever, as I knew you would. And your gifts to her are out of this world. I am glad you like the gift she made you, too. If anything, you and Chris are truly fellow stampers.
I’ll be back later to peruse these photos and the wonderful scenes that you and Chris shared, but right now, I must once again head for the basement, because my weather alarm is beeping and Bleubeard will be all in a tizzy if I’m not there when the storm hits again.
Thanks for sharing these beautiful images of you and Chris having tea (and other drinks) and your first photos of Paris. Thanks also again for the bEARTHday postcard for T this Tuesday.

As promised, I am back. The hail and high winds have tentatively left the area, but another round is projected just as people head to work today.
I love the panorama view that Jim took. It is wonderful. I am so very glad you shared these lovely photos here, because I’m not on FB, so had no way of following along on your trip. I hope you will continue to share more photos here on your blog, because they are truly magical.
BTW, I am so jealous of you and Chris getting to meet. And in Paris, no less!

Many people aspire to go to Paris because the city is well-known for its romantic walks along the Seine River and of course, the Eiffel Tower. To visit the Paris is one of my dream abroad.
