Art Helps Me Breathe …

Magpie's Nest Deli and Red Rosin papermop up deli paper along with some red rosin paper that covered my work table for awhile made a nice background for an art journal that has just a couple of spreads completed…

  8. your pages are just wonderful Patty! So many lovely images and textures. I have those images and I got mine at ARTchix Studio although they may be royalty free images that any company could use. So I’m not the only one with art journal pages that go back some years:):) Happy weekend my friend. XO

  10. What a lovely sentiment! I’m sure that it’s Art that helps me breathe too! I love your colours; the little stars; the ladies and the stitched map paper. To me, this is the perfect journal spread. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving such a lovely comment. I’m sorry I’ve been getting really behind with commenting, as life has been a bit hectic as we tried to organise showers for the family in the absence of a bathroom! I’m doing my best to catch up when I can. It’s such a pleasure to see what you’ve been creating again. xx 🙂

  12. I love the saying “Art helps me breathe”, it resonates with me so much and in my case is definitely true. This page is just lovely, the combination of images, colours and textures are wonderful! Wishing you a happy weekend 🙂
p.s. Thanks for your tip to stick down tissue paper with glue stick, I tried it on my most recent journal page and it worked beautifully. And what a coincidence it looks like we used the the same star tissue paper on our pieces – serendipity! x

  16. I just read the comment you left about the garden pots in the two photos. I didn’t switch the pots around, but I DID take the first photo with the tomatoes in the picture, which cut off the plants at the opposite end of the garden. That may have confused you, because the tomatoes weren’t in the second photo, but those pots, especially once the plants have been watered, are far too heavy to move around.

Also, thanks for letting me know about the watermarking. I’ve seen you do it, but I only learned how to watermark my alteredbooklover photos (Halle taught me, but it took two times, since I couldn’t understand my notes after I took them), and have NO idea how to do it for other artists’ art. For some reason, I can’t seem to wrap my head around PS, even though I’ve owned this very expensive program since 2000.

  23. I am again in awe of your pages which seem out of the world, so ethereal, and with that special shade of blue. The stars are so pretty and the ladies such idealised ladies. I enlarged your pages as I have done before and then saw so much of the detail. Very fine work, Patty,
