last time I saw Paris…

the first cut into my large sheet of Paris Cavallini & Co. paper was the hardest so I decided to use two nice sized pieces for the first pages in my French Travel JournalMagpie's Nest places in Parisalmost too nice to cover up adding a couple of images from a French book and the baguettes from a bread bag……

  3. Great idea to have a pocket to hold bits and pieces that you can take out and look at from time to time. The photos of the architectural elements are fascinating – I especially like the seashells. I always wonder about the artists who created them – some seem so playful, some so personal, all seem like a lot of extra work for elements that may or may not be noticed (except by detail-oriented people like you). What exactly was the half circle filled with feathers/leaves, some kind of tribute to WWI (grande guerre hommages)?

  5. Wonderful map pages with the pieces of the old book. And the photos are amazing again, they would be very perfect to fill a nice Guide about Paris and other French locations. I can’t stop watching them, really great!

  6. Love what you did with the journal page! The little pouch to hold things is great and I love all of the photos you shared. Use the papers now and enjoy them. When we’re gone out relatives will probably toss all of put treasures in a dumpster so enjoy them and use them now ♥

  8. “The hardest cut of all” was what I was thinking when I read how hard it was for you to cut into this beautiful map. Like you, I would never be able to completely cover over it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the photos, too. You have a great eye for the unusual, the unexpected, and the details. Simply lovely, dear!

  12. another great journal spread with one of my favorite themes ever! LOVE the fabric pockets you created for your mementos. I too love the Cavallini products and tend to hold on but you did a great job not covering up too much of that beautiful map paper. And the photos-perfect mosaics of a most beautiful city!

  18. I have that same paper and all I can say is that you are a braver woman than I have been to date! I love that paper and don’t know where/how to cut. I guess if you can do it, should at least try!

The spread is magnificent. I love the pocket and little touches and what a perfect place for your stubs and mementos. One of my favorites. (How many times have I said that on a Patty post?!)
