we are in the process of having some home repairs and improvements done…which means lots of upheaval with workmen in and out of the house…
it will be nice when the dust settles in a few weeks…
escape to my art room is always a good thing and now more than ever…
I created two more pages in one of my gesso journals playing with my favorite super heavy gesso…joining Art Journal Journey once again for Yvonne’s IN MY GARDEN THERE IS theme…

You have created more beautiful pages, thanks so much! Love the textured background. Butterflies and daisies are a wonderful combo. Hope the work at home goes by without too much dust and grit – good that you can escape to your craft room. Hugs, Valerie

Oh I bet you’re so glad to escape to your art room, I’m sure the upheaval and dust (I know what you mean we went back to brick walls in our kitchen and oh the dust!) will be worth it when it’s completed. Once the room has your special touch of decor and decorating it will be simply divine! I love everything about your pages today, the colours (love the blue),the wording, the textures and the images are perfect, especially the Magpie! Do you have Magpie’s in your garden? Wishing you a happy weekend! J 🙂
p.s. Loving those passion flowers, they make me swoon too, very heavenly!

Oh that looks like a lot of work for you to clean after the men’s work. 😉
I am excited how it will look when it is finished, please show us. If men are at work you better go away and leave them alone, it will protect your nervs.
Your pages with the wonderful gesso textures look so nice and I like that kind of blue you used and the decoration elements.
Happy weekend.

Ah, having workmen in – the perfect excuse (need) to escape to the art room.
Your pages are sublime, I love the blue patterned rectangles and the sweet bird in his frame with the flower overhead. Everything is in just the right place.
Hope all goes well – and of course it will!

Love your words on your journal pages and the artwork itself. It is so nice. Yes, in my art garden, to me all my flowers bloom…some a bit nice than other, but they still all have a life of their own. We are going thru renovations to a 110 year old farm house and it is about to kill. Thank goodness for my artwork. It help me to forget everything that is going on around me. genie

Beautiful stenciled details, dearest, Patty, it looks gorgeous with your blue “bricks” floating over the pages- and I love the “par Avion” adressing to the birdie and butterfly, on their wings.
Oh I hope for you, the time with the workmen ,will soon be over, for you to take over all your house, again. I`m sure it will be fun, to redecorate !!!

I bet that work is going to give you a really fantastic room. Is that a new big window going in? And I think retreating into your happy place is a really good idea, especially when you make beautiful pages like this one. I love the lace feel- and how it feels like a beautiful summer afternoon withe the bird and butterfly. 🙂 Hugs-Erika
