another inspiring theme over at Art Journal Journey for July…
many thanks to Yvonne of Meggys Way and all of the participants…
as a final offering I created a 9 x 12″ canvas inspired by a photo of a statue in the sumptuous gardens of Isola Madre on Lake Maggiore in Italy…
lots of layers (pattern tissue… citrasolv paper… cheesecloth… netting… vintage lace and trims adhered with my favorite soft gel medium)…at first I had stamped IMAGINE on tissue paper with some turquoise ink that was too light so that gave me a chance to change the word to BLESSINGS (Art Impressions, Oregon USA)…
I rushed a bit on this and intend to go back and add some touches of green paint…thanks so much for visiting ~♥~

You have made lots of gorgeous pages for us at AJJ these past couple of months, so hope you will keep going next month….This canvas is wonderful, love it, and your beautiful style. Have a great Sunday, hugs, Valerie

Patty, dear friend, es ist wunderschön, such a gorgeous texture and beauty of all the layers, you arranged around the beautiful woman. Love all the leaves behind her, and the trees in front , and the old laces you used ,which, with the netting ,gives such a fragile look, I like very much.
Truly a blessing to study this close up ,and the quote is wonderful.
Thank you sweet Patty.

As always, so beautiful and feminine with a vintage flair and a touch of shabby chic!
What a delightful post with all of your previous pages for July. Did I tell you that I lived in Bologna, Italy for almost a year? I lived in Fairfax, Virginia for almost a year too. It was by chance, the year Kennedy was assassinated.
It is very hot here but what do I expect living in Florida!!

This is such a beautiful canvas Patty! The colours are perfect – those blues sing to me :-). And all those layers too, Wow, it has created a wonderful texture that gives it such depth and really draws your eye, lovely! The vintage lace and trims are the icing on the cake, they provide such a delicate look and give it such classic style. Stunning! J 🙂

Wow. Lots going on here, Patty. You put so much into each spread you create, and I love this one with the citra-solve paper and cheesecloth. It feels so right compositionally, and looks great, too. Of course, seeing all you created this month made it even more special and I can tell this theme spoke to you.
