the blooming Washington Cherry Blossoms are on our list to visit but yesterday we decided to head away from the city and check on the annual bluebells in Bull Run Regional Park

most of the bluebells are in their very early stages with a ways to go but we checked on a hidden hillside that gets afternoon sun

Mr Magpie and I celebrated our anniversary last week by enjoying the cherry blossoms in unusually hot summer like temperatures…

 we had the idea of using the panorama feature on our camera and Mr Magpie made it work vertically to try and capture the majesty of one of the trees in the bluebell woods
